正如我轻轻的来;
是夕阳中的新娘;
油油的在水底招摇;
不是清泉,是天上虹;
向青草更青处漫溯;
悄悄是别离的笙箫;
正如我悄悄的来;

Gently I take my leave as gently I came;
Gently I wave goodbye to the western sky's glow.
The golden willows by the riverside are brides in the sunset;
Their reflections shimmer in the ripples of the gentle waves.
In the soft mud, the green water plants sway cheerfully;
I would willingly be a weed in the soft ripples of the Cam River!
Under the shade of the elm trees lies a pool;
It is not clear spring water but a rainbow from the heavens;
Torn apart in the duckweed, it holds dreams like rainbows.
To seek the dream? I row with a long pole,
Seeking further into the greener grasses;
Loaded with a boat full of starlight,
I sing in the dazzling starlight.
But I cannot sing;
Silence is the sound of parting flutes;
Even summer insects keep silent for me;
Silent is tonight's Cambridge Bridge!
Quietly I take my leave as quietly I came;
I wave my sleeves and take no cloud with me.
